Diwali celebrations Illuminate Ghanta Ghar Lal Chowk in Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 31 (KINS): The lively Diwali celebrations turned Ghanta Ghar Lal Chowk into a beautiful sight on Thursday.
Residents and visitors gathered to celebrate, sharing in the joy of the festival that symbolizes light overcoming darkness.
“We are thankful to the people of Kashmir who supported us and joined in our celebrations,” Munish, a participant said.
Another enthusiastic participant, Ravi Sharma, told news agency KINS, “This is really Naya Kashmir. Who would have thought we could come to Srinagar and celebrate this great festival? We are grateful to the government for creating this atmosphere and allowing people to freely enjoy and celebrate their festivals.”
The administration, alongside security forces, worked diligently to ensure the smooth facilitation of the celebrations.
“We have made every effort to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone to celebrate Diwali,” said a top police official. (KINS)
