Srinagar, Dec 02 (KINS): Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, and Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, visited Doda to evaluate the security situation and review the district’s preparedness for the upcoming winter season.
News agency KINS reported that during the visit, the officials held extensive discussions with the local administration, emphasizing the need to ensure uninterrupted essential services, including electricity, water supply, and snow clearance operations.
The focus was particularly on addressing challenges faced by rural areas, where road blockages during heavy snowfall cause significant hardships for residents.
The Divisional Commissioner instructed the concerned departments to finalize contingency plans and ensure adequate stocking of supplies, including fuel and food essentials.
He stressed proactive coordination among agencies to minimize disruptions during extreme weather conditions.
ADGP Anand Jain reviewed the district’s security arrangements, highlighting the importance of security measures during winter when remote areas become less accessible.
He assured that the police force is fully prepared to address any challenges and assist the civil administration in ensuring public safety and uninterrupted services. (KINS)
