Fully prepared to face weather challenges ahead of Snowfall forecast: CM Omar

KINS DESK
Srinagar, Jan 03 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said on Friday that the administration is fully prepared to deal with snowfall and cold weather challenges.
Speaking to reporters outside his Gupkar residence as per news agency KINS, Omar said, “We are ready to handle the challenges of snow and cold. Several meetings have been held, and we have learned from the recent snowfall.”
Addressing power issues, Omar acknowledged that some areas have faced power cuts, causing inconvenience to residents.
However, he assured that efforts are being made to reduce outages and improve the situation.
The Chief Minister noted that the power supply is already better than in previous years and expressed confidence that ongoing measures, including infrastructure upgrades, will ensure fewer disruptions during winter.
When asked about rumors of a name change for Jammu and Kashmir, Omar dismissed them, saying, “There is nothing like this. Some media reported it, but they later corrected it.”(KINS)
