RampWorks Aviation to open Training Centers Across India, Starting in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 3 (KINS): RampWorks Aviation, a Mumbai-based company, is set to open training centers in several states and Union Territories across India, aiming to prepare young people for careers in seaplane and airport operations, cabin crew, and hospitality.
Founded by Siddharth Verma, an expert in seaplane operations with over 30 years of experience, the company will begin by opening centers in Jammu and Kashmir, the North-East, Himachal Pradesh, and Nagpur, Maharashtra. The first center is planned to open in Srinagar, J&K, in February 2025.
The training centers will offer 90-day full-time courses in three areas: ground handling for seaplanes and airports, cabin crew training, and hospitality, followed by 30 days of practical on-the-job training. Each course will have 25 students, both male and female, taught by international instructors with experience in amphibious and wheeled aircraft.
What sets RampWorks apart is its residential program that combines classroom learning and hands-on training, with a 100% job placement guarantee and competitive salaries. It is also the first company in India to offer a special training program for seaplane ground staff.
In the second phase, RampWorks plans to launch India’s first seaplane pilot training school in Kashmir by the third quarter of 2025, followed by a full flying training program in the third phase.
“Kashmir has great potential for seaplane operations. We have reserved 20% of seats in each course for Kashmiri students to empower local youth,” said Verma. He also pointed to the government’s RCS-UDAN scheme, which has identified 79 water bodies for seaplane operations, creating a strong demand for trained personnel.
CEO Nehal Vyas stressed that the training programs will ensure students are fully prepared for the industry from the start. “The Srinagar center will be a key step in developing India’s seaplane industry,” she added.
RampWorks aims to train 300 students annually at each center and will hold a roadshow to introduce its courses. The first roadshow will take place on January 6 in Dehradun, followed by walk-in interviews at Hotel Sterling Marbella.
The launch of the Srinagar center is expected to boost the local economy, attract investments, and create significant job opportunities for the youth in the region.(KINS)
