Police Attach Vehicle Used in Terror Activities Under UAPA in Budgam

Budgam, April 19(KINS): In a significant move to disrupt terror support networks, police in Budgam have attached a vehicle used in terror-related activities under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967.

The vehicle, an Innova bearing registration number JK01AT-7604 (Engine No. EG4HJ17B4979, Chassis No. MD626EG40J1H49448), was linked to a terror module and was in possession of Mudasir Ahmad Rather, a resident of Kantbagh Kralpora, Budgam. The attachment was carried out under Section 25 of the UAPA in connection with FIR No. 151/2024, registered at Police Station Chadoora.

This action highlights the J&K Police’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and its support systems.

Law enforcement agencies have reaffirmed their commitment to rooting out terrorism and have urged the public to extend full cooperation in maintaining peace and security across the region.(KINS)
