GVEI students shine at Karate premier league championship 2024

Srinagar, May 01: In a significant development, the students of Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI ) Srinagar have brought laurels to the school at the Karate Premier League Championship 2024.
The championship was organised by the Amateur Karate Do Association of J&K (AKAJK) on April 28 and 29 of 2025.
Wafai Tazkiya and Bareera Beigh clinched two gold medals each in Kata and Kumite categories, showcasing exceptional skill and determination.
Shaya Showkat added to the tally with one gold and one silver, also in Kata and Kumite events.
Their outstanding performances stood out among a large pool of competitors from across the region.
The championship was graced by the presence of Ambedkar Gupta, President of AKAJK andAijaz Ahmad General Secretary of AKAJK, who commended the spirit and discipline demonstrated by the young athletes.
Chairman GVEI Muhammad Yousuf Wani extended his heartfelt congratulations to the students and their families.
He applauded their hard work and dedication of the students.
“These achievements are a testament to the commitment of our students, the guidance of their mentors, and the support of our Physical Education Department,” he said.
Wani said the students have not only made the institution proud but also inspired others to pursue excellence in sports.
“The school continues to encourage holistic development by supporting both academic and co-curricular excellence,” the school handout reads.
