Police continues massive preventive crackdown to dismantle terror support network in Baramulla

Baramulla, Nov 10 (KINS):
The Jammu and Kashmir Police said that in continuation of its intensified preventive campaign across the district, it carried out a series of synchronized operations aimed at dismantling the terror support network and strengthening public security.
“The ongoing drive is part of a sustained effort to choke the ecosystem aiding anti-national elements and to preserve the district’s hard-earned peace”.
“During the operations, 16 properties linked with PoK/Pakistan-based Kashmiri natives were searched, resulting in 10 individuals being bound down under preventive provisions. Police also raided 23 locations associated with Over Ground Workers (OGWs), binding down 16 OGWs for their involvement in unlawful activities”.
“Additionally, six properties belonging to UAPA-accused individuals (currently on bail) were searched, leading to five more OGWs being bound down. To ensure strict compliance with telecom norms, 11 SIM vendors were inspected for adherence to subscriber verification procedures, preventing the misuse of telecom services”.
“Furthermore, 175 vehicles were subjected to intensive checking at strategic nakas and checkpoints along the National Highway and other vital routes. Police also conducted 32 Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) simultaneously across different parts of the district”.
“These sustained operations highlight J&K Police’s proactive and layered strategy to neutralize support structures aiding terror activities. Each phase of the campaign is aimed at strengthening preventive policing, building public confidence, and denying operational space to disruptive elements”.(KINS)
