DGP J&K reviews security, anti-terror measures in Anantnag

Srinagar l, Jan 22 (KINS): Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat on Thursday reviewed the security situation and ongoing anti-terror operations during a meeting held at the DPO Anantnag, ahead of Republic Day 2026.
The meeting was attended by senior police officers from Anantnag, Kulgam and Police District Awantipora, including officers from the Kashmir Zone and South Kashmir Range.
During the review, the DGP assessed law and order, counter-terror preparedness, crime control and security arrangements for Republic Day celebrations. He directed officers to remain on high alert, strengthen security plans, increase area domination and carry out intelligence-based operations to ensure peaceful celebrations.
The DGP instructed police officers to take strict action against anti-national elements and reiterated zero tolerance towards activities that threaten peace and public safety.
He also emphasized the need for people-friendly policing and asked officers to continue working with dedication and professionalism to ensure the safety and security of citizens.(KINS)
