Jammu–Srinagar NH-44 to remain closed Tomorrow

Srinagar, Jan 24 (KINS): The Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) will remain closed Tommorow, due to heavy snow accumulation between Nachlana and the Navyug Tunnel, Traffic Police Headquarters, Jammu and Kashmir, said on Saturday. In view of the continued closure, no vehicular movement will be allowed on the highway from Nagrota (Jammu) towards Doda, Ramban, Banihal and Srinagar, and vice versa.
The Traffic Police also informed that the Jammu–Doda road is closed, while snow clearance operations are underway on the affected stretches. Commuters from Katra, Reasi and Udhampur towns have been advised to carry valid photo identity cards to ensure smooth movement at checkpoints.(KINS)
