Schools, colleges across Kashmir to remain closed on Monday amid protests

KINS Desk
Srinagar, Mar 1 (KINS): Authorities on Sunday announced that all schools and colleges across Kashmir will remain closed on Monday as a precautionary measure in view of the prevailing situation in the Valley.
Officials said the decision has been taken to ensure the safety of students and staff amid protests reported from several areas.
Speaking to the media, Jammu and Kashmir’s Education Minister Sakina Itoo said that classes in all government and private educational institutions will remain suspended for a day.
“Classes in all government and private schools as well as colleges in Kashmir division shall remain suspended for one day,” she said.
The decision comes in the wake of demonstrations reported from different parts of the Valley following attacks by USA and Israel on Iran, which disrupted normal life in several areas.
Officials said the situation is being closely monitored and further decisions regarding reopening of educational institutions will be taken accordingly. (KINS)
