DC Kupwara chairs meeting of DDMA, 21 cases settled

 

KUPWARA, JULY 2  (KINS) : In order to settle the pending claims and relief cases under State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), a meeting of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) was today held here under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din.

The Additional District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone was also present in the meeting, besides all nominated members of DDMA.

A total of 36 cases of different nature were put up for discussion in the meeting for grant of necessary relief to compensate for the loss occurred due to fire incidents, snowfall and other natural calamities.

The DC discussed all cases one by one and gave necessary directions. He directed concerned officers to maintain a timeline for sanction of relief cases so that the beneficiaries could get timely relief from the Government.

Out of these 36 cases, 21 cases were settled for grant of relief under SDRF norms while the rest of cases were referred for re-verification to the concerned departments. (KINS)
