Omar Abdullah urges public to stop fuel panic, warns of petrol pump closure

Jammu, Mar 26 (KINS): Amid long queues at fuel stations in Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has urged the public not to panic over alleged fuel shortages.

He warned that continued camping outside petrol pumps may force the government to shut all petrol stations for the next few days.
Addressing the situation according to news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS), Omar said, “It’s regrettable that when the government speaks, no one listens, but everyone believes rumours. In a recent review meeting, it was duly decided that there is currently no shortage of anything—be it diesel, petrol, or LPG cylinders—and the situation remains unchanged.”
He appealed to citizens to avoid lining up based on social media rumours and reassured that there has been no directive to reduce fuel usage. He also mentioned that he will participate in an online meeting of all Chief Ministers with Prime Minister Narendra Modi tomorrow.
