DAE, BIS, ICAR win top honors as three-day ‘Rise in J&K 2026’ mega exhibition concludes in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jun 19: The three-day national mega-event “Rise in Jammu & Kashmir 2026 – Building the Path Towards Viksit Bharat @ 2047” concluded here on Friday, with the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) bagging the top honor for outstanding participation.
The exhibition, which served as a dynamic platform to showcase the region’s growing role in India’s developmental journey, concluded at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) after witnessing a massive turnout of students, entrepreneurs, and the general public.
On the valedictory day, Rajya Sabha MP Ghulam Ali Khatana felicitated the participating departments and public sector undertakings (PSUs) for their contributions toward making the event a success.
In the special award category evaluating innovation, presentation, and public engagement, the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) secured the first prize. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) bagged the second and third prizes, respectively.
Addressing the gathering, Khatana said such platforms are crucial to bridging the gap between government initiatives and the public, while inspiring the youth to actively participate in nation-building.
The event, organized by Tarmeh Events under the guidance of Khatana, saw active participation from premier national organizations, including ISRO, CSIR, NHPC, Indian Railways, NTPC, ICMR, and APEDA, among others.
Over the three days, thousands of students, researchers, and aspiring entrepreneurs interacted with experts to gain insights into various government schemes, technological innovations, and employment opportunities, organizers said.
