Bandipora, Aug 8 (KINS): The Indian Army organised a medical camp at Athwatoo in Bandipora district in collaboration with the District Hospital and local doctors.
The camp provided healthcare services to 745 residents from Athwatoo and nearby areas.
People received medical check-ups, consultations, medicines and health advice. Patients needing further tests or specialised treatment were referred to higher medical centres.
Special attention was given to women’s healthcare. A lady doctor was available at the camp, allowing women to discuss their health problems comfortably. Several women were examined and provided medical advice and treatment.
An awareness session was also held on personal hygiene, sanitation and prevention of common diseases. Residents were advised to follow simple health and hygiene practices to stay healthy.
Residents appreciated the initiative and thanked the Army and medical teams for bringing healthcare services closer to their homes. They also requested that such medical camps be organised regularly.
The camp was aimed at improving access to healthcare in remote areas and strengthening the bond between the Army and local residents.(KINS)
