LG Sinha flags off first batch of devotees for Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra

Jammu, August 17 (KINS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday flagged off the first batch of devotees for the annual Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in Jammu.

Extending his warm wishes to the pilgrims, the Lieutenant Governor prayed for a safe, peaceful and spiritually fulfilling journey for all devotees visiting the sacred abode of Mahadev.

“The sacred journey to Baba Budha Amarnath’s abode is a deeply enlightening experience. I firmly believe this pilgrimage brings profound transformation and reveals life’s deepest truths to every devotee,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the Baba Amarnath and Budha Amarnath Yatri Nyas, VHP, Bajrang Dal, local administration, langar organisations and civil society groups for their coordination and arrangements for the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage and the Budha Amarnath Ji Mela.

The flag-off ceremony was attended by spiritual leaders, religious heads, public representatives, senior civil and police officers, security officials, prominent citizens and a large number of enthusiastic devotees.

The annual pilgrimage is expected to witness the participation of devotees from different parts of the country.(KINS)
