Weather Update: J&K to remain hot and humid, rain likely at scattered places

Srinagar, Aug 24 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience generally hot and humid weather conditions over the coming days, with brief spells of rain and thundershowers at scattered places, according to the Meteorological Centre Srinagar.
From August 24 to 28, brief spells of rain or thundershowers are expected at scattered places, mainly during the early morning and afternoon hours.
Between August 29 and 31, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely at scattered to many places, with brief intense showers possible during the early morning and afternoon hours.
The forecast for September 1 and 2 indicates generally hot and humid conditions, with brief spells of rain or thundershowers at scattered places. From September 3 to 5, brief spells of rain or thundershowers are expected at isolated places.
The Meteorological Centre has cautioned that brief intense showers at localized areas may trigger flash floods, mudslides and landslides.
Meanwhile, farmers have been advised that they may continue harvesting and other agricultural operations, while remaining alert to local weather developments.(KINS)
