Srinagar, Sept 10 (KINS): Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting L. Murugan said Jammu and Kashmir has the potential to once again become a preferred destination for filmmakers from India and abroad.
Speaking at the International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir (IFFJK) 2026, Murugan highlighted J&K’s landscapes and cinematic heritage, and said the festival could create new opportunities for local filmmakers and creative talent.
Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Chanchal Kumar said J&K has the potential to become a hub for filmmakers, writers and creative enterprises. He stressed the need to connect local talent with industry professionals through training, mentorship and professional film productions.(KINS)
