Srinagar, Sep 16 (KINS): Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Sujit Kumar, chaired a security review meeting at PCR Kashmir to assess the prevailing security situation and preparedness of police formations across the Central Kashmir Range.
The meeting was attended by DIG Central Kashmir Range Srinagar, SSPs of Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal, SSP PCR Kashmir, SDPOs and other senior police officers.
During the meeting, officers briefed the IGP on the security situation in their respective areas and the measures put in place to maintain peace and public order.
IGP Kashmir reviewed the security grid and operational preparedness, stressing enhanced counter-insurgency operations, area domination, intensified naka checking at vulnerable locations, and strengthened surveillance along inter-district borders.
He directed officers to maintain round-the-clock vigilance, regularly assess security arrangements and ensure timely strengthening of deployments wherever required.(KINS)
