Srinagar, Sept 23 (KINS): Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh on Wednesday interacted with representatives of the Central Secretariat Group-C Employees’ Association and discussed issues related to promotions, cadre review and career progression.
The association, representing over 8,000 Group-C employees across 135 Ministries, Departments and Organisations, submitted its concerns regarding service conditions and promotional avenues.
Dr Jitendra Singh said the Government was working to address promotion-related issues and noted that more than 23,000 promotions had been cleared over the past 12 years. He stressed that timely career progression was important for employee motivation and efficient functioning of the administration.
The Minister said genuine service and cadre-related concerns raised by employees would be examined through the appropriate institutional mechanism. He also encouraged continued engagement between employee representatives and concerned authorities.
The delegation thanked Dr Jitendra Singh for regularly interacting with employee bodies and considering their service-related concerns.(KINS)
