Kishtwar, Oct 23 (KINS): The Indian Army organised a youth motivation and outreach programme at Government Degree College, Kishtwar, on October 22 to guide students and defence aspirants about career opportunities in the armed forces.
The programme was conducted by the Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Jammu, under Headquarters Recruiting Zone Jalandhar, as part of its continued efforts to engage and support young people across the Chenab Valley.
The initiative received an encouraging response from students and appreciation from the college administration.
The main objective of the programme was to familiarise young aspirants with the Indian Army’s recruitment process and provide them with clear guidance on pursuing a career in the armed forces.
During interactive sessions, Army officials explained various entry schemes, eligibility criteria and examination procedures. The sessions also helped students understand the opportunities available to them and the steps required to join the Army.
The programme aimed to motivate local youth to consider a career in the armed forces and contribute to national service.
The Indian Army has encouraged interested candidates to visit its official recruitment portal, www.joinindianarmy.nic.in, for information about upcoming recruitment drives, registration and application procedures.
The initiative reflects the Army’s continued efforts to connect with young people and help them make informed decisions about their future careers.(KINS)
