Srinagar, Oct 31 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) MLA Salman Sagar on Saturday downplayed reports of internal differences within the party, saying that the National Conference remains a strong party and its legislators have full faith in the leadership.
Speaking to media persons, Sagar said that a routine party meeting had been unnecessarily projected as a major development. He said that differences and grievances can arise within any organisation, but the situation was not as serious as being portrayed.
“Someone may have grievances, and I may have them in the future as well. But everyone has the right to express their anger,” he said.
Sagar maintained that NC legislators trust the party leadership and described the matter as an internal family issue.
He further said that the concerned leaders would meet party president Dr Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to discuss the issues, including the memorandum submitted by some party legislators.
He reiterated that the National Conference remains a strong party and expressed confidence in its continued unity.(KINS)
