Tri-Service Veterans Visit Srinagar for Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebrations

Srinagar, July 06: A team of Ex-Servicemen (ESM), comprising Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers, other ranks, and their families from all three branches of the Armed Forces, visited Badami Bagh Cantonment on 06 July 2024 as part of the Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebrations.
The 50-person team, led by Major General Nischaya Raut (Retd), had just returned from Kargil after paying homage to their fallen comrades of the Kargil War. In Badami Bagh Cantonment, the veterans and their families paid tribute to the fallen soldiers at the Chinar War Memorial and toured the renowned museum Ibadat-e-Shahadat, which showcases the history, heritage, and culture of Jammu & Kashmir.
The team also interacted with other ESM, Veer Naris of Kashmir Valley, and the GOC 31 Sub Area. Major General Nischaya Raut (Retd) discussed various aspects concerning the current dynamics of J&K and the welfare of ESM in the Valley.
This annual visit to Badami Bagh Cantonment and Kargil as part of Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebrations fosters spirit and camaraderie among the troops serving in the cantonment, with their actions highlighting their enduring patriotism.
