Srinagar, July 22: In a high-level meeting chaired by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, senior officers from the Civil and Police administration reviewed the preparations for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations.
The LG emphasized the importance of planning activities that honor the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and martyrs.
“We must ensure that this Independence Day is celebrated with the utmost respect and honor for those who laid down their lives for our freedom,” said LG Sinha. “Every event and activity should serve as a tribute to their great sacrifices.”
The meeting focused on the detailed planning of events, security arrangements, and the involvement of various stakeholders to ensure a smooth and dignified celebration. Senior officers assured the LG of their commitment to making the event memorable and respectful.
“Security will be our top priority to ensure a peaceful celebration,” stated a senior police officer. “We are working on comprehensive plans to address any potential threats.”
The LG also directed officials to involve schools, colleges, and community organizations in the celebrations to foster a sense of patriotism among the younger generation.
“This is not just a government event; it is a national celebration. We want every citizen to feel a part of it and remember the sacrifices of our martyrs,” LG Sinha added.
