Srinagar, Aug 17:Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar, Northern Army Commander, met with the newly appointed Director General of Police (DGP) designate, Nalin Prabhat, and Special DG to convey his best wishes on the new appointment.
The meeting marked a significant discussion on strengthening synergy and security measures between the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police.
During their interaction, both officers highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure the continued safety and security of the region.
Lt Gen Kumar emphasized the shared commitment of both the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police towards maintaining peace and stability in the Union Territory. “Enhanced cooperation between our forces is essential in addressing evolving security challenges,” Lt Gen Kumar remarked.
Nalin Prabhat, who is set to assume the role of DGP, expressed his dedication to working closely with the Indian Army to build on the strong foundations already in place. “Together, we will ensure that Jammu and Kashmir remains a safe and secure region,” he affirmed.
“The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police remain united in their mission to bolster the region’s security and will continue their collaborative efforts to safeguard the people of Jammu and Kashmir”.
