Jammu, Aug 21 (KINS): In a significant update on the Jammu city’s development progress, authorities revealed that a total of 117 smart city projects have been completed, with 10 additional initiatives, including the high-profile Tawi River Front development, currently in various stages of execution.
This information was given during a meeting chaired by Devansh Yadav, the newly appointed Jammu Municipal Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL).
JSCL, established in August 2017, was tasked with transforming Jammu into a modern, well-equipped urban center. Among the ongoing projects, the Tawi River Front initiative stands out. Modeled after the Sabarmati River Front in Gujarat, this ambitious project aims to enhance the river’s aesthetic appeal, improve its natural purification processes, and promote sustainable environmental and urban infrastructure.(KINS)
