Srinagar, Sep 02 (KINS): The Headquarters Counter Insurgency Force (Kilo) celebrated its Silver Jubilee, marking 25 years of valiant and distinguished service. In a press statement issued by PRO defence Srinagar, “Established on 1st September 1999, Kilo Force has been instrumental in counter-terrorism operations, securing vital communication lines, maintaining peace, enforcing law and order, and building strong ties with the local population through meaningful engagement and guidance for the youth in North Kashmir”.
“The Silver Jubilee celebrations began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Kilo Force War Memorial, where Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, GOC, Chinar Corps, and Maj Gen Vivek Narang, GOC, Kilo Force, paid homage to the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The event was followed by a Special Sainik Sammelan and celebrations with the troops. During his interaction with the troops, the GOC praised their exceptional valor, unwavering dedication, and operational excellence, which have been the defining characteristics of Kilo Force over the past 25 years”.
“The Silver Jubilee is a significant milestone in the illustrious history of Kilo Force and serves as an occasion to reaffirm its commitment to moving forward with the same dedication, courage, and resilience that have become synonymous with the Force”.
