CM Omar Abdullah chairs review meeting with Administrative Secretaries at Civil Secretariat

Srinagar, Oct 18 (KINS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah convened a crucial review meeting at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar today, bringing together administrative secretaries from all major departments.
News agency KINS reported that the meeting, aimed at assessing the progress of various developmental initiatives and addressing key governance issues, saw detailed presentations from the heads of each department.
During the session, CM Abdullah emphasized the importance of streamlining government services, improving public welfare schemes, and ensuring timely implementation of infrastructure projects across Jammu and Kashmir.
Special attention was given to sectors like health, education, and rural development.
“The people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve efficient governance, and it is our duty to ensure that every department functions with the highest level of transparency and efficiency,” said Abdullah during his address.
The meeting also touched upon the upcoming winter season, with Abdullah directing departments to ensure preparedness for snowfall and cold weather challenges.
Administrative secretaries were instructed to maintain continuous communication with district officials to address grassroots-level concerns and deliver results on the ground. Abdullah further underscored the need for departments to align their efforts with the government’s broader vision of inclusive development.(KINS)
