Srinagar, Oct 26 (KINS): Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, and Additional Director General of Police, Anand Jain, conducted a review meeting on Saturday to assess the preparations for the upcoming “Run for Unity” and Union Territory Foundation Day celebrations in Jammu.
The meeting saw the participation of senior officials, including the Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation, Deputy Commissioners from various districts in the Jammu Division, the Director of Education, the Joint Commissioner of Youth Services and Sports, and other concerned officials. Key areas of discussion centered on security and logistical planning for a smooth and safe event.
The Divisional Commissioner instructed Deputy Commissioners to implement comprehensive traffic diversion plans and ensure adequate security personnel are stationed along the routes and venues for the “Run for Unity” across all districts. He also emphasized the need for ambulance and fire services to be on standby throughout the event.
Further directives were issued for close coordination between Deputy Commissioners, Senior Superintendents of Police, and heads of major infrastructure projects to prioritize safety measures for workers involved in these developments.
In addition, the Divisional Commissioner urged Deputy Commissioners to make proper arrangements for the Union Territory Foundation Day and the upcoming Diwali festival, ensuring smooth and safe celebrations for all.(KINS)
