Kashmir University VC unveils expansion plans during harud festival

Srinagar, Oct 28 (KINS): At the Harud festival in Baramulla, Kashmir University’s Vice Chancellor, announced plans for the university’s growth, including the establishment of new branches to enhance educational opportunities for students. Addressing a vibrant audience, she stated, “We are actively reviewing the establishment of new branches based on recommendations from our academic council, faculty, and student bodies. The university is open to growth and development, with no barriers to admissions.”
The Harud festival, celebrated as a significant event for student engagement and talent development, showcased the rich cultural tapestry and diverse talents of the university’s youth.
VC Neelofer highlighted the festival’s importance as a student-organized initiative, emphasizing, “Harud is a student activity, and the cultural program showcased the incredible talent of our students.”
In her remarks, VC stressed the role of events like Harud in fostering holistic development among students. “Such gatherings are vital in building confidence and helping students discover their inner potential. I hope that the Harud program inspires students to identify their talents and explore ways to further develop them,” she encouraged.
Looking forward, the Vice Chancellor expressed her optimism about the festival’s future, envisioning a platform where students can engage in more extensive activities at both national and global levels. She noted, “While the current units may be basic, they hold the potential for further mentoring and could evolve into significant startups,” reaffirming the university’s commitment to nurturing student initiatives.(KINS)
