Indian Army Intensifies Security Operations in Rajouri and Poonch Amid Rising Terror Attacks

Jammu , Oct 29 : The Indian Army has significantly ramped up security measures in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri and Poonch districts after a recent surge in terror attacks that led to 13 casualties, including two soldiers. As part of its response, the Army has increased vigilance and patrols in the area, deploying advanced surveillance technology like drones, quadcopters, and modern weaponry to monitor the Line of Control (LoC) and detect any potential infiltration.

To establish control in these regions, the Army has implemented a comprehensive area domination strategy. This strategy includes regular Area Domination Patrols, speculative Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs), and intelligence-led missions. These operations focus on dense forest areas where recent terrorist incidents have occurred. Rashtriya Rifles troops are leading aggressive search operations in these challenging terrains.

In addition, the Army is conducting special training sessions and firing practice camps in the dense forests of Rajouri and Poonch to enhance the combat readiness of its personnel. These sessions train soldiers in the use of small arms, such as pistols, and automatic weapons like AK rifles, with a focus on targeting both static and moving objects. Quick Action tactics training is also provided, equipping troops to respond swiftly with bulletproof vehicles in the event of terror incidents.

This intensified security protocol underscores the Army’s proactive stance in countering heightened threats in the region, ensuring a stronger response to the ongoing challenges in Jammu and Kashmir.
