Three terrorists killed in Battal-Khour encounter, search operations continue: SSP Jammu

Srinagar, Oct 29 (KINS): In the ongoing counter-terrorism operation, the Jammu and Kashmir Police reported the killing of two additional terrorists this morning at Battal-Khour in the Akhnoor sector, bringing the total to three.
The ongoing operation, led by local security forces with support from the National Security Guard (NSG) commandos and special forces, continues as authorities aim to clear the region of any remaining threats.
News agency KINS reported that SSP Jammu Joginder Singh confirmed the latest developments, stating, “Till now, three terrorists have been shot dead, and the search operation is continuing.” The encounter began after three heavily armed militants opened fire on an ambulance within an army convoy moving close to the Line of Control (LoC) on Monday morning. Security forces quickly responded, leading to an intense operation that extended into the night. Yesterday evening, one terrorist was neutralized as the army deployed BMP-II infantry combat vehicles to bolster the ongoing assault.(KINS)
