Post snowfall, CM Omar Abdullah announces major Power restoration in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 28 (KINS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today provided an update on the restoration of power in Kashmir following the heavy snowfall.
The Chief Minister confirmed that, out of the 41 dysfunctional 33KV feeders in the region, 37 have been restored and recharged.
“Similarly, out of 739 dysfunctional 11KV feeders, 639 have been restored, providing significant relief to the valley,” CM wrote on X, as per news gathering agency KINS.
The Chief Minister expressed optimism that the remaining feeders would be restored by the evening.
He also commended the Power Development Department (PDD) for their relentless efforts in restoring power in such a short period despite the challenging weather conditions.
“Thanks to the PDD team for their dedicated work during this snowfall,” CM Omar Abdullah said, acknowledging the swift response to ensure the restoration of electricity in affected areas.(KINS)
