Grenade attack at Baramulla army premises solved, three arrested: Police

Baramulla, Jan 11 (KINS): The Baramulla Police solved a grenade attack case, leading to the arrest of three individuals and the recovery of arms and ammunition.
According to SP Operations Baramulla, Feroz Yahya, an unidentified terrorist lobbed a grenade at the premises of 163 TA in Baramulla on January 07.
The grenade according to news gathering agency KINS exploded on the roof of the MI room, causing significant structural damage but thankfully resulting in no casualties.
Following the incident, a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (FIR No. 1 of 2025) was registered, and a thorough investigation was initiated. Using technical and electronic evidence, multiple teams worked tirelessly to crack the case.
“The investigation led to the arrest of three suspects. During their interrogation, the police recovered one hand grenade, one AK-series rifle, one pistol, 256 AK rifle rounds, and 21 pistol rounds,” he said.
SP Yahya stated that further details of the case are being withheld to ensure the ongoing investigation is not compromised. (KINS)
