Imran Nabi Dar urges Political Parties to back NC in Rajya Sabha polls

KINS Correspondent

Srinagar, Oct 14 (KINS): National Conference (NC) spokesperson and Rajya Sabha nominee Imran Nabi Dar on Tuesday appealed to all political parties in Jammu and Kashmir to extend their support to the NC in the forthcoming Rajya Sabha elections.

Addressing reporters in Srinagar, Dar called upon the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), People’s Conference (PC), Awami Ittehad Party (AIP), AAP to “rise above political differences” and back the National Conference.

“I appeal to all parties to vote for the National Conference in the forthcoming Rajya Sabha polls. We need a strong voice in Parliament to raise the issues of Jammu and Kashmir,” Dar said, according to Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS).

He emphasized that the NC’s presence in Parliament would be pivotal for highlighting the concerns of the Union Territory.

“We want to take the concerns of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to the national stage and ensure that their voices are heard,” he added.

Expressing optimism about support from “secular forces,” Dar said the time had come to prioritize the larger interests of Jammu and Kashmir over party politics.

“This is the time to put the interests of Jammu and Kashmir above party politics. I am confident that all secular-minded forces will unite to strengthen our collective voice in Parliament,” he said.(KINS)
