Srinagar, Oct 14 (KINS): The four Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections — Choudhary Mohammad Ramzaan, Sajjad Kichloo, Shammi Oberoi, and Imran Nabi Dar — on Tuesday called upon NC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah at his residence in Srinagar.
News agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) reported that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was also present during the meeting, which was marked by discussions on the party’s strategy and collective commitment ahead of the crucial polls.
The meeting also witnessed the presence of NC Provincial President Showkat Mir, MLAs Ahsan Pardesi, Sajjad Shaheen, and Mushtaq Guroo, along with Political Advisor to the Vice President Mudassir Shahmiri.
Party insiders said the interaction reflected the leadership’s confidence in the party’s prospects and unity of purpose as it prepares for the Rajya Sabha elections.
Senior NC leaders later said that the party remains steadfast in representing the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir at the national level and ensuring a strong voice for the region in Parliament.(KINS)
