Srinagar, Oct 31 (KINS): The Jammu and Kashmir Police celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit across the Union Territory. The main event took place at the Armed Police Complex (APC) Zewan, where SS.J.M. Gillani, Special Director General of Police (Coordination), administered the oath of unity. He also took the salute and led officers and personnel in paying floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Contingents from the BSF, CRPF, SSB, JKAP, IRP, Women’s Battalion, SDRF, and Executive Police participated in an impressive march past.
Oath-taking ceremonies were also organized at district, unit, and wing headquarters across J&K, where senior officers administered the unity pledge to their personnel.
As part of the celebrations, “Run for Unity” events were held at all police stations throughout the Union Territory. Thousands of youth took part in these runs, promoting the message of national unity and strength.(KINS)
