Searches were conducted in Awantipora, Handwara, Anantnag, Budgam, Kulgam, Pulwama, and Shopian, following credible inputs about unlawful activities and attempts to revive the organisation’s network.

In Awantipora, police raided multiple residential locations of JeI members and associates, recovering incriminating material and digital devices. Several individuals were questioned and legally bound down.

In Handwara, police searched the Jamia Islamia Institute at Waripora, seizing electronic devices for forensic analysis to ascertain possible links with JeI and other banned groups.

In Budgam, searches were carried out in Chadoora, Soibugh and Beerwah, leading to the seizure of digital devices and documents linked to separatist propaganda networks.

Police in Kulgam conducted district-wide searches under UAPA provisions, seizing gadgets, literature and documents relevant to ongoing investigations.
