LoP Sunil Sharma meets LG Sinha; raises age relaxation demand for J&K CCE aspirants

Jammu, Dec 04 (KINS): Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma on Thursday met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Lok Bhawan, Jammu, to press for the long-pending demand of age relaxation for aspirants appearing in combined competitive examinations across Jammu & Kashmir.

As per the Jammu and Kashmir BJP Unit, Sharma informed the LG that numerous aspirants and delegations have approached him over the past several weeks, seeking relief in upper-age limits amid repeated delays in recruitment cycles.

He said many candidates have also submitted written representations highlighting the challenges posed by age restrictions.

During the meeting, Sunil Sharma strongly advocated for sympathetic consideration of age relaxation, stressing that the future of thousands of deserving youth depends on timely intervention.

Sharma said that the Lieutenant Governor gave a patient hearing to the issue.

Expressing optimism, LoP Sunil Sharma said he hopes the administration will take a positive decision in the interest of aspirants.

He assured the youth that he will continue to pursue the matter until a favourable resolution is achieved.(KINS)
