Christmas celebrated with religious fervour

Devotees throng Holy Family Catholic Church in Baramulla

Baramulla 25 Dec (KINS):Amid chill and religious fervor Christians on Thursday celebrated Christmas with special prayers for peace brother hood held at oldest Catholic Church saint Joseph Baramulla since 1905.

Scores of Christian devotees including men women flocked at the Holy family Catholic Church saint Joseph Baramulla to celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ (A. S) and held special prayers.

The church was decorated with colourful buntings and balloons and wore a festive look.

SJS school Baramulla Father Britto said Christmas occasion would be sign of communal, harmony, love and humanity and compassion for all across the world.
Sister said Christmas is celebrated by singing carols and exchange gifts as it aims to spread the massage of peace and prosperity.
However people missed white Christmas as there was no snowfall in Baramulla town.
