Wild Bear Attacks Woman in Tral, Injured Victim Referred to SMHS Srinagar

Pulwama, 3 Sept (KINS): A woman was injured after being attacked by a wild bear in Tral area south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.

The injured woman has been identified as Shareefa Bano, wife of Reyaz Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Tral-i-Bala in main town.

She was initially brought to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tral for treatment, from where doctors referred her to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for further medical care.

The incident has triggered fresh concern among residents, as several wild bear attacks have reportedly been reported in the Tral sub-district over the past few weeks, leaving people in fear. (KINS)
