Srinagar, Sep 30 (KINS): The Indian Army Wednesday said that based on specific intelligence inputs, a joint search operation was launched by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF in the general area of Korag, Yousmarg.
“During the operation, security forces observed suspicious movement. When challenged, terrorists opened fire, leading to an exchange of fire in which one terrorist was neutralised”.
“During a subsequent search early Wednesday morning in the general area of Palmaidan, the body of a Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist, identified as Mohammad Asif alias Hashim Moosa, was recovered along with war-like stores.
The operation is still underway, officials said”.(KINS)
