Srinagar, Sept 30 (KINS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has said provisions are being prepared under the proposed New Media Policy-2026 to bring online news and social media platforms within a regulatory framework.
Minister Sakina Itoo told the Assembly that the policy would address misinformation and accountability in digital media. The government also said guidelines are being formulated for monitoring unregistered social media news handles at the district level.(KINS)
