Srinagar : Gunshots were heard in outskirts of Srinagar after forces launched a cordon and search operation.
Reports reaching Kashmir Indepth said that search operation was launched after a tip off about the presence of militants in Lawaypora area near Tahira Khunam collage in outskirts of capital city Srinagar on Wednesday.
Shortly after the launch of operation, atmosphere was reverberated with gun shots reports added.
Meanwhile reinforcement of forces rushed to the area .
A police official that operation in the area is underway , he however said that no contact with militants has been established yet.
