Director Health Services Kashmir inspects quarantine facilities at Dr NIIT Nigeen


Srinagar..In order to ensure proper administrative and professional mechanism of services ,Samir Mattoo, DHSK today visited quarantine facilities assured at NIIT , Nigeen & Isolation facility at JLNM Hospital which has been designated for 100 bed capacity for isolation & 11 ICU Beds.

While taking stock of administrative quarantine facilities at NIT, Nigeen DHSK stressed upon the regular professional checkups to be ensured at various levels of quarantine / isolation facilities. On spot instructions were passed to the team of officers who accompanied DHSK for conducting daily and timely check ups of COVID 19 suspects.

He further asked the concerned authorities to assure proper care and hygiene besides social distancing within the facility premises as per standard operating procedures in place to deal with COVID 19 cases in particular.

Taking stock of facilities and possibilities at JLNM Hospital Rainawari Srinagar ,where High Risk patients of Positive patients are kept under isolation, he directed hospital authority for ensuring implementation of SoPs for isolation and hygeinic care besides sanitary management.

DHSK was informed that 80 samples were collected at the facility & sent for testing. He directed the Officers/Officials of JLNM to take proper care of the admitted patients so that they don’t feel isolated & provide them with all necessary drugs & logistics.

Further the Director recommended the changes between cots, infection control protocols and waste disposal systems.

The surprise visit of facilities was conducted to assure professional protocols in order to avoid any lack while combating COVID 19 in particular and quarantine/ isolation facilities at large. While talking to media he assured of containing COVID 19 but appealed people at large for maintaing patience and adherence to advisories being issued by the department.
