EJAC urges the government to release the pending salaries and wages before Eid ul Fitr

Srinagar, May 18(KINS): Senior trade union leader, President EJAC Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam has urged the government to release the pending salaries of the employees and wages of daily wagers, casual labourers, seasonal workers, need based workers and other workers before the auspicious day of Eid ul Fitr.

In a statement to news agency KINS he said that the employees especially Forest Corporation employees are without salaries which escalates their plights in this lockdown. He said that the employees are the frontline warriors in the war against Corona virus and to keep them without salaries can affect their dedication and commitment towards their work.

While expressing concern over the lack of financial well-being of such employees, he said that the present situation is adding to their woes and predicaments. He said that the employees are in quite distress in this holy month of Ramadan due to the present circumstances and the government should release all the pending salaries and wages before Eid so that the employees can have a sigh of relief in these perilous times.(KINS)
