DDC Ramban chairs meeting of BDC chairpersons, reviews progress under Central schemes


RAMBAN, OCTOBER 12: District Development Commissioner, (DDC) Ramban Nazim Zai Khan, today reviewed the progress of the development schemes besides COVID-19 control measures here at a meeting attended by Block Development Chairpersons (BDC) of all eleven blocks of the districts and departmental functionaries.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Kumar, ACD, Zameer Ahmed Rishu, DPO, Sunil Buthyal, CMO, Dr. Mohammad Fareed Bhat, BDOs besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.
BDC chairpersons raised various issues including accommodation and of staff for BDC and BDOs offices, delay in billing of completed works, maintenance of protocol of BDC Chairpersons, establishment of CSC and Khidmat Centres.
The Chairpersons also discussed various development issues related to their respective blocks. The DDC directed the concerned officers to resolve the issues at the block level.
DDC directed the BDOs to submit a proposal besides identify a suitable land for the construction of an office complex in their blocks.
The DDC directed the CMO to ensure sampling of all people visiting OPDs in different health institutions, tehsildars and BDOs offices in coordination of concerned officers.
DDC also asked the chairpersons to ensure saturation of service delivery being provided by the government departments in coordination with concerned officers to improve the living status of people in their respective areas.
DDC informed that Block Diwas event -a public- administration interaction regarding rural problems would be organized on every Wednesday as per schedule issued by the administration at the block headquarters to ensure monitoring of all development works and schemes besides resolving the other issues at block level with the involvement of PRIs and general public.
The DDC also exhorted upon all the officers to submit action taken report on the complaints received concerning their department with details on further course of action.
Earlier, ACD presented a detailed presentation regarding progress of all ongoing works in panchyats.
CMO also briefed the meeting about implementation of JK Health Card and various measures being taken by the department and instructions given by the Health department for the Panchyats to prevent spread of COVID-19 infection.
