Srinagar Police held Run for Unity at Boulevard Road, SSP Srinagar distributed the prizes


Srinagar, Oct 29 (KINS): Srinagar Police organized “Run for Unity” under the Banner of Police Flag Day Celebrations-2020, at the banks of world famous Dal Lake. The participation was overwhelming and participants from all age groups participated in the RunforUnity. SSP Srinagar and other officers of the District participated in the Unity Run. The Run was flagged off by SSP Srinagar Dr M Haseeb Mughal-JKPS at 08:30 am from Lalit Ghat to Botanical Garden. After the conclusion of the Run for Unity, the presentation ceremony was held at Botanical Garden.
According to police statement, the presentation ceremony SSP Srinagar Dr M. Haseeb Mughal-JKPS in his brief adress to the participants, appreciated their resolve to make the event a success in such a cold morning and hit the ground on time.
SSP Srinagar also appreciated the enthusiasm shown by very young kids, who were part of the Run for Unity, and in displaying their commitment to complete the run.
SSP Srinagar told participants that win or loss doesn’t matter, what matters is your enthusiasm, energy and spirit that you all exhibit throughout the game. SSP Srinagar was flanked by all SP Headquarters, Zonal SsP, DySP DAR Srinagar, DySP Headquarters, SDPOs and other officers of the District.
SSP Srinagar distributed the prizes among first three positions in the Run for Unity. He was accompanied by the officers of the District at the presentation ceremony.
First Prize went to Gulbadin Hikmatyar from Ganderbal, age 19yrs, time taken to complete the run is 7.32 minutes.
Second prize went to
Muneer Ahmed Dar of Khaniyar Srinagar , age 30 yrs, time taken to complete the run 7.43 minutes.
Third prize went to
Umer Farooq Bhat of Hazratbal Hazratbal, age 20 years, time taken to complete the run 7.49 minutes.
The participants thanked Srinagar Police for promoting the budding talent of the valley especially of District Srinagar and have expressed their gratitude for their youth engagement programs.(KINS)
