J&K Nurses Association pays tributes to Riyaz Ahmad Mir


Jammu & Kashmir Nurses Association in its meeting paid great tributes to Mr Riyaz Ahmad Mir Sr. Grade Nurse Chest Disease Hospital Srinagar who has been awarded on the eve of Republic Day for his meritorious services rendered by him during the Covid 19 pandemic. The Association thanked authorities for nominating Medical and Nursing professionals for this prestigious award. It is known to everyone that the nursing personnel perform their duties in every kind of environment. Everyone is aware that nursing personnel are in first contact of patient and face every kind of risk. Their families are equally at risk. The nursing personnel have done tremendous job during the prevailing pandemic circumstances. It is for the first time when government has recognised servics of nursing personnel otherwise we are sacrificing our lives while performing duties during traumatic situations. The Association congrats Dr Navid Nazir Shah (HOD Chest Medicine) for acquiring the award also. We are thankful to Prof Samia Rashid Principal GMC Srinagar for recognition of work done and for recomending the medical and nursing staff for this award.
