Amid tears, funeral prayers for J&K Police Inspector Masroor Ali conducted at Narwara Eiddgah Sgr

Srinagar, Dec 08: The funeral prayers for the brave Jammu and Kashmir Police Officer, Masroor Ali, was conducted at Narwara Eiddgah in Srinagar today.
Masroor Ahmad Wani, a police inspector in Jammu and Kashmir Police, targeted by terrorists while playing cricket in Eidgah on October 29, passed away at Delhi AIIMS on Thursday.
After being targeted by terrorists during a cricket game in Eidgah, the police inspector received medical care at SKIMS Soura. Regrettably, despite being shifted to AIIMS New Delhi for specialized treatment, he succumbed to his injuries Thursday.
The officer had sustained gunshot wounds to his lungs and head during the attack.
The ceremony drew a large gathering of mourners, including family members, colleagues, and residents, who came together to pay their respects to the fallen hero.
His untimely demise has deeply saddened the community and the entire police force.
The funeral prayers, led by religious leaders, echoed with prayers for peace and eternal rest for the departed soul. Emotions ran high as colleagues and friends shared memories of Officer Masroor Ali.
The somber atmosphere at Narwara Eiddgah reflected the collective grief and gratitude for the sacrifice made by Officer Masroor Ali.
“The Jammu and Kashmir Police Department, along with the community, stands united in honoring his memory and recognizing the immense contributions to the police force.
As Officer Masroor Ali is laid to rest, his courage to fight with the injuries will endure, serving as an inspiration to his fellow officers and the community he served with dedication.
The loss is deeply felt, and the thoughts of the entire Police Force are with Officer Masroor Ali’s family during this difficult time,” a top Police official said.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has already taken over the investigation into this terrorist attack.
