DSEJ introduces phased vacation plan starting Dec-11

Srinagar, Dec 08: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has announced winter vacations in the winter zones, implementing a phased approach starting from December 11 to February 29.

DSEJ issued an order stating that all government schools and recognized private schools up to the Higher Secondary Level in the winter zone of Jammu Division will observe winter vacations.

The order specifies that classes up to 8th standard will have vacations from December 11, 2023, to February 29, 2024, while classes from 9th to 12th standard will observe vacations from December 18 to February 29.

Additionally, the Directorate mandated that Chief Education Officers ensure online classes for Class 10 and 12 through CRCs. The teaching staff is required to report back to their respective schools on February 21 to facilitate preparations for upcoming examinations.

The directive emphasizes that teachers must be available for any online guidance needed by students during the vacation period, and any lapses in adhering to the schedule will result in strict actions as per rules.
